Aus​tralian Fantasy Golf

One day in 2000,  while surfing the net looking for golf sites, I came across 11 Golf Loving, Beer swilling buddies who run their own Fantasy Golf League in America.  After looking through their site I thought it was a great idea so I emailed 'The Commish' and asked him if I could steal his idea and run a similar competition here.   Buster (The Commish) was only too happy to help me out and so I gathered 7 of my drunkest golfing friends together and we have started our own league, using exactly the same scoring system as our Seppo brothers.  After a very successful inaugural season, the word quickly spread and now we have 10 team members and a waiting list as well!

After a few e-mails to my new mate, Buster,  in the States we came up with the idea of running a 'Presidents Cup' between the two competitions which should be a lot of fun.   Please visit the site we stole the idea from by clicking here. 

The interaction with our new friends has made this whole exercise a great deal of fun and a pleasure to be involved in.  We look forward to many years of fun and friendship via the Internet, in real life and most of all, in Golf!  IN 2006 I was lucky enough to take a trip over to PA, USA and visit these blokes and it was one of the best weeks I have ever had in my life!

Since the early beginnings in 2001, 22 guys spread across the planet now look forward to battling wits and luck with not only themselves but as a team against another country, and the best part about it is that winning is great, but losing is just as much fun because you get very fired up to ensure that the following season you wrest the cup back for your team!!!
