Mahns was inducted as an inaugural member of the Box Hill Reporter Cricket Association Hall of Fame last Sunday.  A huge honour for the GWHCC and a fantastic lifetime achievement for the Battlers Prince.

Min Woo Lee fell one shot shy of a second PGA Tour victory as Collin Morikawa ended his three-year winner’s drought in a thrilling finish to the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Lee had hopes of claiming the title in the US$20 million signature event with a birdie-birdie finish to enter the clubhouse at 21-under par after a seven-under final round 65.

A chance at a playoff looked on the cards when Morikawa bogeyed the par 3 17th to draw the pair level.

But the two-time major champion coolly birdied the par 5 18th to take victory with a five-under final round 67.

The American found the fairway with his 3-wood but then was made to anxiously wait on the 18th fairway for roughly 20 minutes as Jacob Bridgeman had an astonishing meltdown in the group in front.

“It’s just the worst thing you need to be seeing,” commentator David Howell said as Morikawa stood with his hands in pocket while he was hammered by the icy wind.

The delay did not phase the 29-year-old, however, as he struck an iron from roughly 215m to the edge of the green.

Morikawa then comfortably got up-and-down with a simple tap-in birdie while Lee watched on a monitor.

Another elevated no cut event meant points aplenty for almost everyone with only Googah narrowly missing out on double digits.  Again, too many scores to individually break down so let's look at the leading men.  Muff was once again dominant and is on record pace, in fact if he were to keep up this rate he would comfortably break 1000 points and obliterate the season long record total by over 400 points! 39 big one this week as Morikawa led this star studded team with 20, Burns and the recently acquired Hisatsune 6 each (Mahns feeling the burn here as the under bidder) 3 to Day Man while the rest took easy singles.

Mahns continued his week to remember with 26, Lowrey, Bridgeman and Knapp all inside the top 10, 3 in 3 weeks for Knapp, who might be on the verge of a breakout season, his best. A rusty Rory and Hoge scoring 3 pointers.

22 got added to Fleas balance, Min Woo Lee's runner up finish complemented by Nick Taylor in the top 25. 20 for Hymie, 15 for Sepp Straka who finished t2, all singles for everyone else aside from Thorbjornson who got 0 for finishing DFL.
