Chris 'Turtle' Briginshaw had his 50th birthday party recently. It was a cracking night with a live band that played all the classics.  The theme was to wear a 'Band' shirt.  Here's Smails wedged between Peter 'Clubber' Clark and Andrew 'Forey' Newman.

Xander finally stepped out of his own shadow and won his first event in two years, last winning at the Scottish Open. Schauffle had eight consecutive finishes in the top 20 at majors coming into Valhalla. He already had a pair of runner-up finishes and six top fives. Bryson finished runner up, clearly the best of all the LIV players.  DeChambeau now has a top 10 in every Major including a win and now a runners up.  He finished 6th at Augusta and is clearly one of the favourites heading to Pinehurst this season.  Golf is better with DeChambeau in it.  Victor Hovland finished in 3rd place, his game slowly coming around to where it should be.  Scheffler finishes top 10 despite going to Jail during the tournament while the other big gun, Rory, left all his bullets at Quail Hollow and was a pedestrian t12.

Every single rostered player was in action this week, all earing double points, this lead to some really big scores. Scotty led the way with a massive 64 point haul, his LIV pick up of Bryson proving genius with 30, top 10's to JT and Justin Rose winding back the clock helped the little bloke to leapfrog the really big bloke into 7th and just outside the cash.  It was a Davies double as Flea was next best , 6 of 8 making the cut and 54 big ones jump in. The X man added 40, Theegala a disappointing Sunday still finding the top 25. Hymie picked up 42, 20 of them from Hovland in 3rd, Thomas Detry top 10 and fidget spinner Keegers top 25 helped Hymie off the bottom for the first time this season, Powelltown now occupying the cellar. Muff scored 26, Morikawa his best with 12, 3 each to Hodges and Hoge. Bradels, Smails and Mahns all scored 20.
